Offroad
Medical Services
As
part of our rally logistics operation, we provide a comprehensive
medical service for off-road events and in particular for off-road
motor sports.
The key feature
of this service is a mobile hospital that was developed in collaboration
with the Austrian Promedic Team and forms part of the EDRU (European
Disaster Relief Unit) Project.
The
mobile hospital is set up in a container that can be transported
to just about any terrain using our MAN SX 8x8 and a special
combi-lift body. The MAN is designed so that, in really serious
cases, it can even recover itself. The mobile hospital saw its
first successful deployment in the Libya Desert Challenge in
February 2005.
As well as the
mobile hospital, marathonlogistic also provides full back-up
from the Austrian Promedic (off-road medical) team and the German
ORMS Off-road Medical Service. Both emergency services are equipped
with special all-terrain operations and emergency support vehicles
that have already been tried and tested throughout the world
and in rallies such as Dakar, Optic Tunisia, El Chott Tunisia
and the Libya Desert Challenge.
